To fill gaps in the Swiss live jazz scene with groups that never before have been booked in Europe.
To discover young jazz talents and – on demand – to support them with rare musical material or by arranging gigs.
To care for three ‘forgotten' graves of US jazz giants (Hines, Hodges, Shavers), as a symbolic gesture for many
others.
In order to support jazz, I am a sponsor of the Jazzclub Bülach and of Generations 2004 Frauenfeld, as well as a member of Bird's Eye Basel, Jazzclub Bern, and KuLak Mutschellen. I support the jazz magazines Down Beat, Jazzpodium and Jazztime. Up until now, I have never gained any monetary value from all my jazzy endeavors – on the contrary, although only exceptionally, I even helped musicians in emergencies with cash. However, in future, I will have to charge at least my expenses!
